Kelle Wendling is President of the Space Systems sector within L3Harris’s Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) segment. The Space Systems organization covers an extensive portfolio of exquisite and responsive satellite capabilities across electro-optical, infrared, and Radio Frequency (RF) technologies to address civil, science, weather, space domain awareness, missile warning, navigation/timing, and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions.
Wendling took over this role in January 2022. She oversees strategy, capture, execution, and delivery of integrated space capabilities including payloads, antennas, and ground systems for a wide array of government, international, and commercial customers and reports directly to SAS’s President.
Wendling most recently served as the President of the Mission Networks sector. Mission Networks provides modern, secure, reliable, and resilient telecommunications networks for air-to-ground and voice/data communications for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and other international air traffic management providers. Prior to this assignment, Wendling held several leadership positions for L3Harris including Vice President, Strategy and Business Development and Sector leadership for Department of Defense, International, and Intelligence & Cyber customers.
Wendling is a member of the National Space Security Association, the Air Traffic Control Association, and is active with the central Florida chapter of the National MS Society.
Wendling earned a Bachelor of Science degree in applied mathematics/computer science and an MBA from the Florida Institute of Technology. She is a graduate of the Harris Leadership Directions Program at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, and completed the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management Product Design and Development program.
