Patti Strong is the director of Satellite Communications Business Development, as part of Boeing Space, Intelligence and Weapon Systems. She oversees proposals supporting the needs of the USG, commercial and international defense customers. Her portfolio includes wideband and protected SATCOM programs (WGS, PTS, PTES), strategic SATCOM programs (ESS), narrowband, commercial satellites, commercial services and international pursuits. Prior to this role, she managed the MILSATCOM portfolio and previously worked as a capture team lead for national security space.
Strong joined the business development team at Boeing Defense, Space & Security in 2015 after 10 years in the systems engineering department. She was a software validation lead for the 702 product line, and a mission, flight and controls engineer supporting proposal technical design. Strong started her career in the autonomy engineering department for the national security space.
Strong received her bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and her master’s in business administration from UCLA.
