Astranis Space Technologies Corp. is a US company that manufactures and operates small broadband communications satellites in geostationary orbit. MicroGEO is radiation-hardened for a 10-year design life and uses an Astranis software-defined radio that is fully reprogrammable on-orbit. The first MicroGEO launched in April 2023. Nine additional satellites are scheduled to launch in 2024. The 300-person company has raised over $550 million at a total valuation of $1.6 billion.
