Van is dedicated to empowering and investing in frontier and industrial-focused founders. With over 20 years’ experience in aerospace and defense, Van advises both early-stage businesses and government to be bolder! Prior to working in both defense and commercial markets, Van started his career as a congressional aide before joining Raytheon and later UK NATS, the British airspace operator. Following graduate studies at George Mason University, Van participated in executive programs at Thunderbird School of Management in AZ and Cranfield School of Management in the UK. He has served as EIR and economic advisor to both Mayors of Los Angeles and the City of El Segundo, the Advisory Board of the Alliance for Southern California Innovation, and the MIT Enterprise Forum.
